Shame Unmasked: Disarming the Hidden Source of Destructive Decisions, Dr. Rick Patterson

from Mystic-Skeptic Radio: Uncensored/Raiders of the Unknown · host Mystic N Skeptic

In this week's show we interview author Dr. Rick Patterson. We discuss politics, raising children from different ethnic backgrounds and how to influence the world for the better. A quote from his first book: “While my doctoral dissertation was based on how shame motivates and manipulates our lives, it’s been my experiences in corporate America, professional ministry, and as an adoptive father our four African American children that have led me to a new understanding of the power shame has over our lives and the daily decisions we make.  I have seen the effects of shame in my own destructive decisions from breaking my hand punching a wall to entering professional ministry.  It’s my hope that I can bring awareness to this hidden ‘killer’ so we can go about disarming it before it does any more damage.”Mystic-Skeptic Radio produces programs such as Uncensored & Raiders of the Unknown. Some of the ongoing series are: Anti-Semitism Rising & Jesus The Israelite (all available on our YouTube channels). In the past 10 seasons we have featured academics (Amy Jill Levine) , presidential candidates( Howie Hawkins), Commentators (Jay Michaelson) , Advocates (Vanessa Guillen), Scholars(John Dominic Crossan) and Holistic Healers (Rosemary Gladstar). We have taken deep dives on the topics of human trafficking, ancient civilizations, demonology and the occult, social movements, controversial topics and many of the current affairs affecting our society. Join us as as we explore the mystic-skeptic mind space…
