They preyed on the strong Nothing much left. The fight had all gone. Middle 8 So here’s to the land of the shamrock so green May the winds of fortune sail with you And all your wishes and dreams come true So here’s to the shamrock so green. Verse 3 Stamp on the shamrock with the soles of your feet Dance with the devil immersed in conceit Believe or be met with unspeakable ills I’m the king of the castle, I’m king of the hill Verse 4 I played the role of Arthur, the king of Camelot My brothers played the knights, the oldest Galahad We fought off invaders when we were young lads Facing off the enemy with wooden knives and guns.
