Shane Lowry’s Historic Irish Open Win | Belfast News

Shane Lowry crushed it at the Irish Open, winning with an eleven-shot landslide after a jaw-dropping final round 63 — his putting was on fire, including a 45-footer on the 7th. Starting with a four-shot lead, he turned up the heat with eight birdies, leaving rivals Jacob Skov Olesen and Joaquin Niemann in the dust. This marks his second Irish Open title — his first came 17 years ago as an amateur — and he couldn’t believe the magic of the moment, especially with his mom cheering him on. He credited his family back in Florida for fueling his fire, saying he never does things by half measures. Patrick Reed and Joaquin Niemann tied for second at 12 under, while Denmark’s Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen took third with a flawless 63. Lowry’s home soil triumph cements his legacy as one of Ireland’s greatest golfers. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
