上等 top quality, high-grade, good stuff, Fine! Bring it on! (#187)
from Daily English and Japanese Vocabulary Practice | 毎日ボキャブラリー練習 · host ケビン
→ My friend said, “Isn’t that outfit lame?” and I said, “It’s from Uniqlo, but it’s top quality!” → For a convenience store bento, this tastes way too high-grade. → They said, “Go home if you’re not serious,” so I was like, “Fine, I’m out!” → This coffee’s from a chain shop, but it’s surprisingly good stuff. → Someone picked a fight and I said, “Bring it on,” but inside, I was terrified. 💡 Note: Depending on the tone, 上等 can mean "high quality" or be a gutsy comeback like “bring it on.” Let me know which tone you'd like more of!
