Shannon Evans was planning to do amazing things for God. As a newlywed and just out of college, she and her husband became missionaries in Indonesia. With grand ideas of how she was going to make lives better, Shannon soon realized her limitations. Through contemplation of suffering, she came upon Catholic teaching on suffering that was new truth to her. Together with her husband, they converted from Evangelical protestant to Catholicism.
