May I be transparent with you? Creating radio-ready/sellable music is not cheap. I’ll be honest it is downright expensive! There’s the cost of buying a track or paying musicians to go into the studio. There is studio time, mix and mastering, vocal lessons to prepare, the list goes on and on sometimes. So once the music is ready for the world to hear, the biggest question is, “How do I get my music into the earbuds of potential fans?” and the next question is, “How do I recoup the money I put out?” Listen I understand that our music is our ministry, but there is definitely a business side to the ministry.When I released my very first single, “Here I Am,” April 2014, I was torn between putting my music on Soundcloud or Spotify. The reason being that both of these platforms allow the music to be heard for free. So what’s in it for the artist?
