Sharing diamonds without missionizing

Spirituality can be seen as something very intimate and yet it may has happened to one or the other to want to convince others because we believe that it would be best for others too. How do we integrate the diamonds of love and truth, especially when we meet people who have different views? Papaji once said 'Don't share diamonds with pigs', but what does it actually mean? We are all free and living Buddha's, but who are we to convince others to see that? We are not the Lord of time to decide when someone has to be open for these diamonds.
