Sharp Soars to Kings After Houston Glory | Big 12 Basketball News

Emanuel Sharp, Houston’s all-time 3-point king and 2025 national champion hero, is officially an NBA rookie after being drafted 45th by the Sacramento Kings. Averaging nearly 16 points and 38% from deep as a senior, Sharp’s scoring punch and defensive grit made him a vital piece of Houston’s title run—and a standout for the Kings. Rising from a pandemic-era recruit and knee injury survivor, he redshirted, graduated early, and evolved into a two-way force under Kelvin Sampson. The Kings see his toughness, shot-making, and bench impact as key assets—proof that hard work and resilience can turn a Cougar into a King.
