Sharpening the Saw - Habit 7 from 7 habits of highly effective people
from Finding the Floor - A thoughtful approach to midlife motherhood and what comes next. · host Camille Johnson
Send us Fan Mail “This is the single most powerful investment we can ever make in life — investment in ourselves, in the only instrument we have with which to deal with life and to contribute.” We have made it to Habit 7 - Sharpening the saw or Renewal from the book 7 habits of highly effective people by Stephen R. Covey. In this episode I share the 4 different areas that we should take time to renew everyday: physical, spiritual, mental and social/emotional. Stephen Covey calls it the “Daily Private Victory” and I get into all four parts of what he calls the four natures or dimensions of our lives. I share about my own practice of my daily private victory as well as a few things I need to work on. I also share what he means by intrinsic security and the importance of using this habit to develop that within ourselves. A lot of good stuff and things to think, learn and then do. I would love to hear from you! You can reach me at [email protected] or dm @findingthefloor on instagram. Thanks for listening!! Thanks to Seth Johnson for my intro and outro original music. I love it so much!
