Shaun O'Gorman: Re-training The Mind & Body To Live A Strong Life

from Let It In with Guy Lawrence · host Guy Lawrence

#25 This week my awesome guest is Shaun O'Gorman, founder of The Strong Life Project. Whilst being on the front line with the police K9 (dog squad) unit, he was the first on the scene with most of the violent police incidents. From being shot at, high car speed chases, domestic violence... it's safe to say Shaun as seen it all.  Shaun O'Gorman is a Human Behaviour & Performance consultant, keynote speaker, author, and podcaster. After joining the Queensland Police Service in 1989, Shaun worked in the Police Dog Squad for many years as well as the Covert Surveillance unit. While in the K9 unit Shaun was involved in repetitive high-risk critical incidents ranging from violent street brawls, high-speed pursuits, barricaded suspects and shooting incidents. The majority of these placed him at risk of physical and mental harm. He also performed duties with the Special Emergency Response Team (SWAT) as a tactical dog handler. He went to psychiatrists and psychologists, and they could tell him why he was the way he was but NO ONE could tell tell him how to change it. This began a 15-year journey of personal development courses, study, education, working with coaches and mentors and finding every possible piece of information he could. This brought him to the point where he has created an ethos and a proven ability to help anyone deal with the problems and issues they have in their life.
