Shawn Spears has departed AEW. The former "Chairman of AEW" confirmed this on Twitter. His run in AEW was interesting and had its ups and more than its fair share of downs, but he proclaimed his appreciation to the company and the fans. He's poised to be a free agent starting January 1st, so 2024 should be quite an interesting year given the possible opportunities. Maybe a WWE return?
