Shea Ritchie - Restaurant Owner Beats $60K in Tickets [King Hero Interview]

from King Hero's Journey with Beth Martens · host Beth Martens

Join us for a livestream, Tuesday March 21st at 2:00 PM CDT, to hear the war stories of trying to stay in business while navigating the nonsensical restrictions on restaurants over the last three years of the plandemic. Learn how he went to court to fight $60K in tickets without a lawyer and was found NOT GUILTY. Shea Ritchie is a Winnipeg born real estate investor and restaurateur. He is a libertarian and visionary with a passion for innovation in commerce and property development. Shea opened Chaise Cafe in April 2013 and used his interest in culinary and hospitality to create a unique restaurant with Family Style dining. Chaise is unconventional and is the first Subscription-based restaurant in the world (first of many). In 2018, Shea expanded to Corydon with a location with double the size of the original. Things were going well until Covid hit the scene and businesses were routinely opened and closed. Chaise Corydon, while following the government mandates, quickly became the most ticketed business in Winnipeg. Chaise Corydon was frequently in the news for a multitude of tickets and social media uproar and the problems persisted for nearly 3 years until Chaise was able to get a court date to challenge the allegations and the courts agreed that the Health violations were completely unfounded. There is evidence to show that the government singled out this compliant business when it was obvious that they had made a mistake and issued invalid tickets. Rather than taking responsibility for the error, various government agents committed fraud and crossed solid ethical lines. In 2022, Chaise Corydon was closed under pressure by the LGCA and now the government has some tough questions to answer regarding what they did and why. https://www.chaisecafe.com Link to all the details of his case: https://docs.google.com/document/d/16...
