Shebani Bhaskar - Episode 2: Stars & Stripes Cricket Podcast

USA Women's vice-captain Shebani Bhaskar joins the Stars & Stripes Cricket Podcast to talk about her journey into the national team. Bhaskar is the third American-born female player to represent USA and previously held the record as the youngest American women's debutant as a 17-year-old when she toured Bangladesh for the 2011 ICC Women's 50-over World Cup Qualifier, helping USA achieve a famous one-run win over Zimbabwe with a top-score of 72 and a victory-clinching runout from extra cover. As the daughter of a US diplomat, Bhaskar has spent time living all over the world including Bangladesh, India, Germany and Uganda, where she has competed in golf and won a long driving competition. Bhaskar talks about all this and more including her experiences opening the batting with Suzie Bates in New Zealand domestic cricket, serving as vice-captain for England legend Claire Taylor at the Philadelphia International Cricket Festival, and USA's chances at upcoming ICC World Cup Qualifying tournaments later in 2021.
