Shedeur Sanders Shows Command in Browns Preseason Loss to Bills

During a 2026 preseason matchup, the Cleveland Browns suffered a 31-7 loss against the Buffalo Bills. Despite the lopsided score, rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders drew praise for his composed performance and ability to lead a successful first-half touchdown drive. Local standout Luke Floriea capitalized on his playing time by catching that lone score, bolstering his case in a competitive wide receiver battle. Head coach Todd Monken utilized the exhibition game to evaluate roster depth, specifically noting the effectiveness of the backup offensive line in protecting the young passer. While the team struggled to maintain momentum in the second half, the game served as a vital evaluation tool for developing talent. Under the guidance of the coaching staff, the organization focused on individual progress and operational efficiency over the final result.
