After reviewing the facts and questions, we set out to define - or at least, attempt to define - the two main disagreements: (1) What was the structure of the takanah? (2) Which name of Hashem was this in reference to? I shared the various approaches that my chavrusa and I developed, and although we didn't manage to define things SUPER clearly, I think there's merit in the approaches we took.
