Sheletta was up early perusing the news and she came across Jeff Day’s piece in the Star Tribune about a judge striking down Minnesota law that protects Black families. Jeff and Sheletta discuss the Minnesota African American Family Preservation and Child Welfare Disproportionality Act (MAAFPA) and the cultural sensitives that NEED to be at the forefront when making decisions about child welfare and rearing. Sheletta shares a personal experience where the MAAFPA came into play with one of her sons.
