I met Shelia at a wellness conference in Iowa, we were both fortunate to be speaking about areas near and dear to our hearts, first responder wellness. Shelia dives right in on explaining why EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) is so effective at alleviating distress associated with traumatic memories and how we as first responders can benefit from this practice.  There is a whole world out there ready to help you put the past behind you, available to give you the tools to live a life worth living.
