We begin preparedness planning with the shelter in place concept, which means that everyone returns to home when bad things happen, to congregate, pause and think. Your home is your safe place, where your children feel safe, where they are comfortable, where you know your community and lastly - it is where everything you own sits. All your possessions to some degree are preparedness supplies that support one of your animalistic requirements - shelter, food, water, health, safety and security. Managing Next Generation Energy Systems Cambridge University Background Stakeholders working with energy systems have to make complex decisions formulated from risk-based assessments about the future. The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system.
