“Shema”

When we hear Yahweh telling us that He is our God, that He is faithful, and that He alone is our God, we respond by loving Him with our whole selves. Knowing our tendency to stray from Him, God tells His people to keep His promises and His commands constantly before us, literally, so we can get better and better and listening and responding with a whole-life, whole-self love for Him.
