Shems Heartwell - The Medicine of Relationships: Chemistry vs. Alchemy, Cultivating True Intimacy and Co-Regulation in Partnership

from going out | looking in · host Maximilian Bartel

"If it's not love, what is it then?" Grand rising, soul family. Today, we're exploring a favorite topic of the podcast community, as well as a personal favorite: Relationships! That being said, I couldn't be happier to have had the chance to speak with an absolute expert on the topic, Shems Heartwell. Shems has been honing and sharing his craft for 20 years. He has mentored with some of the most influential teachers in the fields of coaching, healing, relationship, and transformation. He is a licensed acupuncturist, certified coach, relationship guide, and Qigong teacher. What I found so fascinating about Shems is how he blends his experience and knowledge into a unique way of coaching and mentoring that is on the leading edge of the human potential movement. Shems is also a passionate athlete, gardener, and musician, living with his beloved wife, Achintya, on the beautiful island of Maui. Him and I initially connected at Sacred Sons Convergence 8, and it was clear from the get-go that I had to have him on the show to share his light with you. There's SO MUCH wisdom and valuable input in this episode around the topics of relationships, intimacy, sexuality, alchemy, co-regulation, shadow work, and much more. Also, I'm certain that no matter what kind of energy (masculine or feminine) you're dominantly identifying with or what relationship status you're in, you'll get something out of this one! 👉 We explored a broad variety of topics such as: - The importance of curiosity and openness for personal growth and exploring alternative ways of being - How relationships offer opportunities for evolution and growth, both individually and as a couple - The key role of authenticity and vulnerability in creating deep and meaningful connections within relationships - Intimacy beyond sexuality: The difference is profound - The work in relationships lies in the nuances and requires the radical openness of both parties - The idea of choosing alchemy over chemistry in relationships, emphasizing a deeper connection - The flip side of open relationships 🎧 PODCAST: ▶️ Website ▶️ Spotify ▶️ Apple Podcasts ▶️ Google Podcasts ▶️ Amazon Podcasts 🔗 MY GUEST: ▶️ Homepage ▶️ Instagram 🙋‍♂️ MY STUFF: ▶️ Website ▶️ My creative agency ▶️ Instagram ▶️ LinkedIn ▶️ Michael Singer Weekly Talks ▶️ Michael Singer Podcast ▶️ Waking Up App (free month) ▶️ My book recommendations 📩 CONTACT: [email protected]
