聲音掏腰包創辦人楊陽：「人類學使我學會用蟲仔的目光看世界」“Seeing the world in worm’s eye view”: In dialogue with soundpocket founder Yang Yeung

人類學家喜歡觀察細微的事物，以小見大。今集嘉賓楊陽把人類學家「用蟲仔的眼光看世界」的觀察方式，放諸藝術及日常生活上。從事教育、文字及策展工作的她，自香港大學社會科學學院本科畢業後，曾從事傳媒工作拍攝紀錄片，之後分別在耶魯大學及香港中文大學修讀人類學碩士及文化研究博士，並於2008年創辦藝術組織「聲音掏腰包（soundpocket）」，推動聲音及聆聽作為文化和藝術的一部分。現時她任職中文大學通識教育基礎課程講師。今集訪問，我們講到人類學的訓練，如何影響到她的藝術評論及策展工作，以更加微細的目光和敏感度看事情。 （本集訪問以廣東話進行。) Anthropologists like to observe the nuance and details of things, in order to understand the wider culture and society we live in. In this episode, we invite art writer and curator Yang Yeung to share how the anthropological training equips her with unique sensibility and a “worm’s eye view” to see the world. Yang graduated from the Faculty of Social Science of the University of Hong Kong. She then pursued MA in Anthropology at Yale University and PhD in Intercultural Studies at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has worked as a journalist and documentary director. Yang founded the non-profit soundpocket in 2008 to promote sound and listening as a form of art and culture. She is currently teaching at the General Education Foundation Programme at CUHK.
