Sheriff's office seeks help from public on July 11 hit-and-run

The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office invites the public’s assistance for information related to a July 11 hit-and-run.     Sheriff’s office personnel responded to a vehicle-pedestrian accident at approximately 9:43 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Champions Boulevard near La Vernia.        Deputies determined that an elderly male had been struck by a white Jeep Rubicon, license plate 4588DV6. The driver, identified by the sheriff’s office as Stacy Lynette Gunter of La Vernia, allegedly fled the scene without stopping to render aid or provide information.     The injured man sustained multiple serious injuries and remains hospitalized.     The Wilson County...
