Old, or new?Are the shoes well taken care of, or have they been allowed to become ratty?Are the shoes casual, or formal?Are there laces or not, and if so, are they tied or untied?She had very good intuition about people, so I tend to believe that you can learn a lot about someone by their shoes. Unfortunately, I never learned to decode her formula, so I can’t actually tell you what each combination means.
