Stream/Download - http://smarturl.it/ShifteeBBB Watch - http://bit.ly/ShifteeBBBYouTube http://soundcloud.com/shifteemusic https://soundcloud.com/flykaison In celebration of the 5-year anniversary of his irreverent record label Hot Mom USA, Shiftee shares the first EP in his expansive & diverse audio/visual series “& Beyond”. “Boom Bap & Beyond” finds the world champion Brooklyn DJ/producer exploring the boundaries of rap & bass, taking it back to his roots as a world champion turntablist who has long had a foot in the underground electronic world. 4 original songs, 4 features, and 4 signature live performance videos forthcoming. The result is vivacious & heavy, playful yet banging. "I met Fly Kaison because he came to a DJ workshop of mine - said he was a rapper who wanted to work together. Young kid who seemed really hungry & passionate, so I gave him my email. He sent me some tunes, and I liked them. We just started building from there. I sent him beats, we worked on some tunes, and this one came together. I think it's really fun - sort of a piss take on stupid rap, like you want some dumb shit, here's some dumb shit (e.g. "ying ying ying, I ain't even say words"). But also even if you're like the most upstanding citizen, I feel like turning up and getting stupid from time to time is necessary." - Shiftee Vocals & Lyrics by https://soundcloud.com/flykaison Produced by http://soundcloud.com/Shifteemusic Mix/Master https://soundcloud.com/djdstarmusic Artwork by Factioned, based on an illustration by Max Bode http://factionedstudio.com https://www.instagram.com/maxembargo
