I'm just starting a long-term project photographing the Dakota Creek Shipyard across the street from the LensWork offices. (Literally, just starting — photographed yesterday.) I've looked at this place out our windows for eight years now. I've hesitated because I'd spent so much time and energy on my Made of Steel series — I needed a break, I guess. Break's over. It's time. I'm feeling the itch. Those of you technically inclined, this is from my new Panasonic G1 using the 45-200mm racked all the way out — a 400mm eq. in "35mm speak," handheld with the optical image stabilization, shot from our roof.
