Doty has had stops at Arkansas, Indiana State, Old Dominion, UNC-Wilmington, and UNC-Charlotte. Gaston College had a 41-9 record this season but since they are a new NJCAA team, they were not eligible for the postseason. Doty was recently named the NJCAA Region 10 Coach of the Year. In this episode we discuss starting the program at Gaston, being around some of the best coaches in the game, what his journey has taught him, and coaching elite players like Justin Verlander.
