With Rabbi Baruch Epstein from Chicago ILVisit www.ProjectLikkuteiTorah.com for more resourcesThe differences between Tohu and Tikkun:Tohu:Sefiros exist in their purest form, without having the qualities of other Sefiros (Nekudos)Each Sefirah is completely distinct from every other Sefirah (zeh tachas zeh/iggulim)Tikkun:The Sefiros exist in an expanded form, in which their latent aspects are transformed into a general structure (partzuf)Each Sefirah contains aspects of all of the other Sefiros (hiskalelus/yosher)Mashal for Tohu and Tikkun: the way the particular capacities of the Neshmah invest themselves into the physical body. Because of their investment into a holistic organism (Adam/Tikkun), each power can influence the other. In addition, there is a center which directs and oversees of all of the individual organs, Machshavah/Brain (the way Tohu is found in Tikkun). An important upshot of the investment of the capacities of the Neshama into the body (Oros into Keilim, Tikkun) is that the seemingly lower capacities can do things that even the “higher” ones can’t do or can aid the higher one’s and allow them to achieve things it couldn’t do on its own (nautz tchilasan b’sofan…). In other words, whereas Tohu has a very strict hierarchy of value based on the independent nature of each Sefirah, Tikkun allows for a fluidity/reversal of the hierarchy because every Sefirah is comprised of every other and can (thereby) influence every other. In this case, that means that Mitzvos can be greater than Torah.Moshe, who came from the world of Tohu, was humbled by the capacities of Tikkun. This is why he asked Hashem to send someone else, and this is the meaning of his excuse: Kavod Peh=Oros Merubim v’Keilim Muatim =Tohu, which, as Moshe saw it, is in a way is lower than Tikkun (Keilim Merubim v’Oros Muatim).Hashem’s answer was: “mi sam peh l’adam?” Peh= ability to draw Oros (Makiffim) into Keilim. Hashem was telling Moshe that He would grant him the ability to draw even the Orot of Tohu into the Keilim of Tikkun, Oros Merubim b’Keilim Merubim.ConceptsThe differences between Tohu and Tikkun. The inner reason for the Halachic disagreement over making a Bracha on Tefillin Shel Rosh.Support the show (https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=SVCNKGSMCEANE) ★ Support this podcast ★

This was the Fortnightly Poetry project for October 16, 2011.Chesterton was a large man, standing 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m) and weighing around 21 stone (130 kg; 290 lb). His girth gave rise to a famous anecdote. During World War I a lady in London asked why he was not 'out at the Front'; he replied, 'If you go round to the side, you will see that I am.' On another occasion he remarked to his friend George Bernard Shaw: "To look at you, anyone would think a famine had struck England". Shaw retorted, "To look at you, anyone would think you have caused it". P. G. Wodehouse once described a very loud crash as "a sound like Chesterton falling onto a sheet of tin."( Summary from Wikipedia ) The Dennis Michael Lynch Show TeamDML M-F 10amET: Dennis Michael Lynch ("DML") is a popular conservative commentator who covers news, politics, culture, and society.
