The event, a step towards elevating women's wrestling on a national stage, welcomes all four Division I schools that field women’s wrestling - host Iowa, Sacred Heart, Presbyterian and Lindenwood. The Trailblazer Duals kick off at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City on November 12. -Pioneering figure in the wrestling world, Nicole Woody Tyson, is set to receive ultimate recognition for her trailblazing career. The Anne Arundel County Sports Hall of Fame has announced that Woody will be part of their illustrious roster of inductees. A momentous occasion, this signals a well-deserved tip of the hat to Woody's lasting contributions to the sport of wrestling. She’s the women’s head coach at Oklahoma City University.-In a new cross-sport venture, UFC FIGHT PASS is partnering with the Cage Fury Fighting Championships to broadcast NCAA Division I wrestling bouts. The collaboration aims to bring the sports of wrestling and mixed martial arts to a larger audience, showcasing the athletes and their respective competitions. The partnership could possibly serve as a catalyst to stir interest among fans and potential athletes alike in both wrestling and mixed martial arts.-Flowrestling went back in time and looked at the first Division II national title won by Nebraska-Kearney. The Lopers had a future world and Olympic medalist, Tervel Dlagnev, and a future UFC Champ, Kamarudeen Usman, as key cogs in that title run. The Lopers edged Minnesota State by half a point in 2008, and of course, there’s so much that went into that title.-From Inside The Games, The Iran Wrestling Federation says it plans to appeal after the country’s Greco-Roman wrestler Mohammadali Geraei was suspended following a bottle-throwing incident during this year’s World Championships. He tossed a bottle onto the mat during a highly testy match between his brother Mohammadreza Geraei and Japan’s Kyotaro Sogabe.-Pennsylvania’s Aaron Seidel, one of the nation’s top lightweights from the Class of 2025 announced on Twitter - I’m not calling it X - he’s headed to Virginia Tech. Wyoming picked up a pair of commitments from Eddie Neitenbach of Ohio and Brendan Barnes of Montana.-In Podcasts, Duck Insider features Stevens Institute of Technology Mental Performance Coach Erin Song. InterMat releases the second part of its Big 12 preview, while Cornell Robinson hosts Penn State assistant Cody Sanderson on Da Money Round.
