【神國雜誌】第80期 神國管家單元 KRC Issue 80 Kingdom Stewardship 授人以魚，不如授人以漁作者 / 冉燕飛Teach To Fish, Not Give FishBy Yanfei Ran閱讀全文 Read morehttps://e-krc.org/article/teaching-fishing-not-giving-fish/除了法律責任和社會期望，不少父母出於愛或愧疚，願意負擔孩子的經濟責任，尤其是在單親家庭或失去配偶的情況下，更容易走向「過度補償」的極端。過度金錢支持而不伴隨責任教育，無助於孩子成長，反倒培養出依賴、懶惰、浪費。欠缺智慧的「好意」，可能拖累孩子一生。我的客戶中有兒女都結婚生子了還不出去工作，告訴父母：你們賺再多錢不都是要留給我嗎？孫子是你們的，你們也有義務供養他們。這種由父母承擔永久的財務道德責任，直接躺平的觀念，扼殺他們的獨立性，更容易讓父母陷入無止盡的經濟負擔。甚麼才是智慧的管教？神的兒女不只要遵行屬世律法，更要謹守神的託付。聖經中肯定父母應為子女提供生活保障，並為他們的未來做預備；強調父母成為家庭屬靈領袖和管家的神聖角色，作全人關懷的榜樣，關注靈性成長和品格塑造。真愛不是縱容，而是及時管教，適時糾正，使孩子明白行為的後果。早期、穩定的引導能幫助孩子養成自律與負責任的品格，這包括正確運用金錢和各樣資源。財務幫助只是輔助手段，真正的禮物是智慧、信仰和德行的傳承。Beyond legal obligations and social expectations, many parents—out of love or guilt—are willing to shoulder their children’s financial burdens. This is especially true in single-parent families or situations where a spouse has been lost, making it easier to slip into the extreme of “overcompensation.” Excessive financial support without accompanying responsibility education does not aid children’s growth; rather, it cultivates dependency, laziness, and wastefulness. Well-intentioned but unwise “kindness” can burden children for life.Among my clients are cases where adult children, already married with children of their own, still refuse to work. They tell their parents: “Whatever money you earn will eventually be left to me anyway, right? Your grandchildren are yours too—you’re obligated to support them.” This mentality of parents bearing permanent financial and moral responsibility, allowing children to completely freeload, not only stifles their independence but also traps parents in endless economic burden.What Is Wise Discipline?God’s children must not only obey earthly laws but also faithfully fulfill God’s commission. The Bible affirms that parents should provide for their children’s livelihood and prepare for their future. It emphasizes parents’ sacred role as spiritual leaders and stewards of the family, serving as examples of holistic care that focuses on spiritual growth and character formation.True love is not indulgence but timely discipline and appropriate correction, helping children understand the consequences of their actions. Early and consistent guidance helps children develop self-discipline and a responsible character—including the proper use of money and resources.
