Shough Shines, Saints Fall in Overtime | New Orleans Saints News

The Saints dropped a heartbreaker in overtime, falling 31-30 to the Lions, but the loss was overshadowed by electric offensive performances. Tyler Shough threw for over 400 yards and three touchdowns — a career high and a rare feat in franchise history. Chris Olave exploded for 182 yards and ten catches, while Travis Etienne Jr. led the rushing attack and set a career-high in receptions. Defensively, Jonas Sanker anchored the unit with ten tackles, and milestones were celebrated as Kaden Elliss reached his 100th game and Zach Wood his 150th. Several players also made their NFL or Saints debuts. With a tough road trip to Baltimore looming, the Saints aim to turn individual brilliance into team wins — and this game could be the turning point.
