Should Christians Celebrate MLK Day?

Every year around Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a familiar debate resurfaces—especially among Christians—about whether this holiday should be celebrated at all. Some point to MLK’s personal flaws, others to the complexity of the Civil Rights Movement itself, and many feel caught between conviction and confusion. In this video, I don’t set out to defend a personality or re-litigate history. Instead, I invite you to slow down and think carefully—biblically, logically, and honestly—about what MLK Day has represented, why this question keeps coming up, and how Christians should approach it without letting their consciences be hijacked by fear, rhetoric, or inconsistency.
