“Should I give advice to anyone who sends me a message?”

6: I received this question ironically through a message. And I answered the question. So my answer to this question is YES but just to clarify that I’m not saying that you need to become Aunt Agony and answer every question that comes in. Use your own good judgement. But it wasn’t always a YES for me when I was in the self absorbed/self fulfilling hustling mode. I explain why. Many years ago, when I was doing a coaching certification, my high end coach suggested that it’s not advisable to have lunch or coffee meetings with your clients and to maintain some distance. This was to keep the coach and client professional so that you don’t end up giving advice without charging for it. Also to prevent client from taking advantage. As a new coach then, it got to my head and I was walking around feeling special like a celebrity. While I get the intention of my coach then but it no longer resonates with me. No one can take my advantage unless I allow them too!
