Should I start a cholesterol medicine?

When to treat high cholesterol with medicine is a common question. In this episode Dr. Tookey and Dr. Wolbrink talk about "the ASCVD score" and how it is calculated. Many patients will use this tool when talking with their health care provider to determine if they should start a medicine to lower their cholesterol and lessen their risk of heart disease or stroke.
