Should Pride Include Cops and Corporations?

from The Gender Rebels Podcast · host The Gender Rebels

Should Pride parades ban police from marching or being involved with the parades? What part should corporations be allowed to play in Pride celebrations? In this episode we explore the question of whether some organizations should be dis-invited to Pride celebrations.  A group called the Reclaim Pride Coalition announced in May that it will mark the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots with a separate march. Reclaim Pride’s Queer Liberation March will begin 2.5 hours before the official parade on June 30, and will not allow either corporate or police contingents.  Here is an article about the NYPD apology for their actions that led to the Stonewall Riots.  Support us on Patreon to help us keep making great content, and to get some cool rewards—like drinks with us at Stonewall Inn!
