All right. So, you know, it's a draft season. And we love doing mock drafts and Kevin is our draft expert. And he knows all these players.

And he told me for a loop on the live show, like not only do you know, they're like what they do, like they're play, like on the field and what they're good at with their bed. You were throwing heights and weights at me and saying that I was drafting too many small people. And it told me for a loop, like your depth of knowledge scares me. So I wanted to do mock drafts, but here's the thing.

I wanted to do mock dress. You keep telling me we're going to do mock drafts with you, Kevin. But instead, you run these goddamn scenarios at me. And I'm like, when are we going to get to me doing my insane mock drafts?

Well, you get your turn on the live show, the live stream. Right, that's going to be one. That's going to be one. We got three more weeks, brother.

We're going to do it. Two, you're going to at least do two insane with what I wanted to do with Ralph. I got to cut you off here. This is an extra selling point for the discord, which you can access by subscribing to Patreon.

I did, I did a mock draft of 12 people and I had a couple of people complain, saying that was too many people that I somehow managed to draft. And I said, oh, really? Watch me do 24 people. And I drafted 24 people.

And then somebody had the temerity, the unmitigated goal to say, why don't you draft an entire replacement team for the New Orleans Saints? And I said, hold my beer. And I proceeded to draft 53 people. Don't give up future assets to do that.

Jesus, I made no, I traded away zero future assets. I kept it in 2026. And I drafted an entire replacement team. I even got a new kicker, a new punter.

I said, Tyler, Chuck, your services are appreciating. It's not. I grabbed everybody. It's like the Gary old, even the coach.

This is my mean, you get along. I was sneaking that exactly. Who did you draft, Kevin? So everyone.

We're gonna let you we're gonna let you go wild a couple of times, I promise Kevin. All right, fine. This is what I wanted to do for this. And I see only from a couple of podcasts where they would have a guest on and they would say to the guys, you it's okay, you're picking for this team.

You can pick this player, this player, or do this. And I thought that's fun. I can make Kevin do that. But I wanted to like ramp it up because I knew if I when I give you these trade down scenarios, your inclination is going to be, oh, I want to I want the picks.

Of course I want the picks. So I wanted to put some conditions on them in this way. Kevin, we know that like the saints, they may want to draft a defensive end, right? But when they get to 42, the three defensive ends that they like or whatever, when they get to pick 73, all the defensive ends they like maybe gone and they'll be like, ah, we could, you know, we we don't like anybody.

We're going in different direction, right? So I wanted to put some conditions on you for your choose your own adventure. So here's the scenarios that that you can start and this will help us build the draft first scenario that I will run on PFF will just do it. You can draft Munster Delane or David Bailey at eight.

That's the first scenario. The second scenario, you can trade down to 13 with the Rams. You get an extra second round pick number 59, but there will be no opportunities to pick a corner until pick 132. We will do four rounds of this draft.

Okay, the third scenario, you can trade down to 17 with the lions. You'll get pick 50, but with pick 42, you must select an edge or you miss out entirely. All right. Okay, now this, this is the fun one.

This is the fun one. I think this is the one you're going to go with, but this is this is convoluted. The bears want Jeremiah love, Eddie. You can trade with the bears.

You can trade with the bears. You give them pick eight and pick 136. The bears give you pick 25, 57, 89, and the 2027 first round pick. But you must select Chris Bell at 25 because the Saints love them.

And I think that's something they would do if they traded way down in the first round. So see, this is this is where you kill me with this. Oh, it's a round mock draft. It's a three round mock around.

This is not this you are constraining genius that listen, the pope didn't hire Michelangelo and say you're only allowed to paint this part of the Sistine Chapel. No, well, he had enough constraints on him as it is. It's you get you got to give me the full canvas. That's the thing with some of the with some of these scenarios.

Well, I will play I will play your game. I will play your game. All right. Here's the thing with these scenarios.

Let's walk through them. Listen, Delaney or David Bailey at eight. It's a good it's a good choice. Right.

You got two really good players. Right. Here's my thing with the trade down. I wanted you to think about how important is, you know, with the Rams, with the Rams pick how important is corner?

Because if you don't pick corner at 13, you're not getting one until pick 132. So like how important is corner to you for the 2026 Saints, you know, trade down with the with the Lions. You get picked 50. That's fun.

Right. But you got to take an edge either at 17 or pick 42 or you miss you're not getting an edge in the first four rounds of the strap. How important is edge to you? But you get extra picks, right?

And the third one, the last one with the Bears. Listen, you get five top 100 picks freaking five plus the 2027 first with the Bears. But we know the Saints love Chris Bell. We know Chuck loves Chris Bell.

They've been campaigning for him. You go all the way back to the end of the first round. I made you take Chris Bell because I feel like that would be the spot that the Saints would take him because if he worried that he can't, they can't get him at 42. I wanted to offer you all these picks, but constrain you just a little and frustrate you just a little.

So what option are you going to take as we run this mock draft? Let me ask you let me ask you this with the first scenario. Because so how many of these scenarios are we doing on this show? We're just we're just doing the one you pick and then we go with the first scenario with Bailey and Delaney.

I can pick whatever I want from that point on. You can pick whatever you want from that point on, but you won't get any more picked. There will be no there'll be no there'll be no trades and I'm not allowed to trade down. What's that?

I'm not allowed to like you're not on a trade. I have to pick somebody. I'm not allowed to trade down at all. Like I can pick eight, but then I can't trade down.

No, you can't. But you get full control of the draft in your way. You can make any picks you want. And the Bears scenario, you could pick anyone you want except at 25.

You have to take Chris Bell. All right. Since we're only doing one of these and and since listen, I can't be selfish. I have to think about I have to think about the viewer, the listener.

I have to think about what's best for business, so to speak. I got to get a haircut before I go to work today. Me too. Me too.

It's nice to be old and have hair. I have to say that. Well, no, you have a nice hair. I'm getting I'm thinning out up here and it's just coming in in spots on the sides.

I'm developing a freighter top. I will go with the final scenario. All right. There we go.

Bear scenario. So give me the Bears scenario and let's start rolling from there. You absolute like that. Kevin, as as this draft as this draft starts to roll.

Listen. Do you? I mean, I think this scenario would be pretty plausible. Maybe not to this extent, right?

But with amount of picks, but there could be a team that would say, Hey, we're desperate for Jeremiah. And that's what this this this that's what the scenario what I wanted to cook up, right? I wanted to I wanted to cook up a scenario where you got a boatload of picks. Yeah, but on the flip side, you're going down to 25, right?

Yeah. And I want to make sure I've got this correct. 25, 57, 89, and their first round pick next year exchange for pick eight and 136. That's correct.

Okay, I'm forcing that trade. I am forcing that trade. I am now running it through. So we are going to get to where we're going to get it.

Okay. So I mean, if the Saints did this in this exact scenario or a similar scenario where you went and you went from pick eight, 42 and 73, and you went from three to either four or five top 100 picks. The thing is before we get into this, Kevin, just on a broad level, if the Saints finally do the trade down, and it's pretty big, even if it's not big, and they get an extra and they get an extra 100 pick and they go from 300 top 100 picks to four, I feel like suddenly this draft, which listen, it's important for the Saints. They got to have a good draft, but it's not.

I don't feel like because you have shock and because you had a great draft next last year, if you if the Saints go in this draft and they get a starter and they get two guys that we feel are really interesting, right? Like they hit up they nailed the eighth pick with the other picks by the end of the year. We're not so sure about that's okay. Like they have their quarterback.

So it's not like a huge franchise changing draft, but I feel like if they traded down and they did this scenario, this draft suddenly is a pivot point for the Saints, because now you've got five top 100 picks, say whatever, great draft, suddenly this draft for the Saints, because they've done this trade down and are and choose you on an adventure scenario, it feels monumental now. Like you got to nail like at least half of these top 100 picks. And if you do, you can have something special on the field fast. Yeah, I mean, especially, especially the scenario you've you've had coffee with him and to take Chris Bell at 25, even though he's projected to be even though by most accounts, he's projected to be there at 42.

You're making me take him at 25. So at the same time, I'm talking at 25. That's well, that's even more pressure. I mean, right now you're you're passing up.

You're passing up Denzel Boston out of Washington, you're passing Casey, Concepcion, out of Texas A&M, not that I would take him because he's five foot 11. But you're passing up Denzel Washington, that's the other comparable wide receiver position wise position like other players from positions of need, you're passing up Caden McDonald, the interior defensive lineman, you're passing up Cassius Howell edge, you're passing up Caleb Banks interior, Colton Hood at cornerback Christian Miller, the interior lineman from Georgia, and you're also passing up Zion Young, who was projected to be there, who was projected somewhere at around 40, 38 to 40. So, you know, maybe I'll get lucky and he'll be there at 42. Because of this constraint that I put on you, and I just I put it on you because listen, I think if the Saints did this trade, I think one people would be kind of ticked that they didn't take Jeremiah Lovettate.

I think there'd be a significant portion that would be mad. But I think there'd be another portion of people like you that would be like, Oh my God, we got five top hundred picks. But then at 25, they take Chris Bell. Oh, no, I would be I would be annoyed.

You'd be annoyed. I would be annoyed because now in taking Chris Bell at 25, based on my previous statements, my standard as it were, you have to then take another wide receiver in the draft. And I'm not talking six or seventh round. Okay.

I mean, you would have to find like a real diamond in the rough in the sixth or seventh round. You might have to consider taking the wide receiver in the fourth or fifth round. Okay, well, you can't take it. You cannot draft somebody that is injured at such a position of need.

It's such a higher slot and not have a little insurance. Yeah. Well, you got five top hundred picks plus. You got one thirty six in the fourth round for this exercise.

So you got a lot of people. No, one thirty six. I trade one thirty six. Okay, so you got one thirty two.

So there you go. All right. So yeah, so you take Chris Bell. Who's the guy that you were hoping you're crossing your fingers and you're saying if this guy could fall to forty two, I would suddenly feel really great about this choose your own adventure box that Ralph has put me in.

To fall to forty two. I mean, I don't think it's going to happen. I mean, Zion Young from the zoo, the edge defender, Christian Miller from Georgia, the interior guy. Like those were the two guys at edge and defensive interior like linebacker.

I, you know, linebacker, I'm not sure of, although I'm tempted. I'm really tempted to take this one fella that just might be in my in my purview here. Let's see. Why is that not?

Yeah, I mean, so see what you're gonna say. I just think I'm just curious as to like you run it. So run it and tell me who's there at forty two. Tell me what decision you got to make.

I love this. I'm delighted that this constraint we've put on you as people on YouTube can see it. I don't know if audio only people can see it. Right.

Okay. So I'm just gonna start throwing out names here. These are in no particular order. Chase Bassantis, the guard from K&M, the two corners that are available are Brandon Sissy from South Carolina.

I don't know if I'm pronouncing his last name, correct. Chris Johnson, the corner out of San Diego State, Jacob Rodriguez, the linebacker out of Texas Tech, and Lee Hunter, Lee Hunter and Peter Woods. They're both interior linemen out of Texas Tech Clemson respectively. Peter Woods is a guy that like people hate him if they're like, oh my god, if the Saints take him at eight or they take him and they trade down and they pick him in the round one, I gotta hate him.

He's another defensive lineman that the Saints will bust on. But like at forty two, kind of feeling better about him or what are you doing at forty two? Like there's no razz on Peter Woods. That's the thing got a noise me.

Um, Rodriguez, I want to make sure I've got the most up to date razz on this guy. The updated razz on Jacob Rodriguez is 9.52. And you know, according to some of these, according to this rating site, they talk about things like agility and twitch and processing, coverage and explosiveness. And it's like, we're gonna need, like I know we brought back, I know we brought back Kate and Alice, but he's that much older.

Yeah, we really need somebody young and dynamic to come in on this defense. And be a potential ask hitter. Like, I know we still need a corner. Yeah.

And I know we still need an edge rusher, but I'm really leaning. Well, I'm not leaning. I'm gonna take this guy. I'm gonna take Jacob Rodriguez out of Texas.

Yeah. I mean, well, you got the thing is Kevin, you got pick 57, you got 73, you got 89. What needs and now that you go, you know, you go to pick 57, right? What are you hope?

What are you hoping for at 57 will be there. Well, so at 57, I'm still ignoring wide receiver at this point. Look, we grabbed Bell. I think the earliest I would look for a potential replacement is maybe 73.

And again, I am assuming that I am not gonna trade down any more that this was the one big trade that they were gonna make. So I won't look at 57, 73 and 89, I'll be looking at if I'm not picking anybody there than 132, I feel like I have to. So at 57, here's who we've got we've got tight end Eli Star Wars out of Vandy. We've got Kiante Scott, the corner out of Miami.

Is there any price still there? Do you feel the heavy? Very in price. The running back out of Notre Dame is there.

I mean, here's here's the guy that here's what scares me or what's really tempting me is Jennings Duncan, the tackle out of Iowa, who's really gonna be a guard. Like that's the guy that everybody seems to love. I want to get his razz here. I mean, you could you got an 8.61 razz.

But this guy, oh, yeah, no, I'm not scoffing at an 8.61 razz. I'm just saying people seem to think this guy is is it? This is and listen, I know we need I know we need a future guard for to replace. She's a Louise.

He's a Louise. I don't know. We don't need a future guard to replace these are we we need to initiate operation get Caesar Louise off of Ralph's television set immediately. So I am pro this pick get me a guard get Caesar off my TV for 2026.

But hang on a second though. Yeah, there are two edge defenders. Joshua Joseph's from Tennessee and Danny Dennis Sutton out of Penn State. Okay.

Joshua Joseph's is undersized. Okay. He's he's he's 240. Yeah, Danny Dennis Sutton is 265.

Okay. That is the wheelhouse that you need for me. Here's my Danny Dennis Sutton is right in my wheelhouse for an edge defender. And we the saints are the saints need an edge defender, because right now the edge defenders on the team listed on the death chart are Vernon Brighton and Brian Bracy.

Yeah, you know, man, they're not really edge. I mean, the edge for the saints is Chase Young, Carl Granderson. Right. And those are the line listed as line matters.

Yeah. And, and you know, your pass rush guys are and you're going to add those to Granderson, Chase Young, and Kate Nell is going to be your pass rush. You can add another pass rush. Here's my question though, Kevin.

Dennis Sutton is ranked 67. You're picking again at 73. So who's the guy that you feel like you need to pick here? Because they're not going to be there at 73.

Right. There's a couple of other guys that I'm hoping will fall. I mean, look, I've got, let me make up this. Let me make this quick.

I got one, two, three. I got three guys that I'm hoping could fall to 73. Okay. So what's the pick at 50?

I am going to go. I am going to go with getting stunker. The tackle slash really guard. Yeah, out of Iowa.

I mean, I think protecting, Tyler shock is should be. That's a great importance here in the draft. If you can find, if you can find somebody to give them an extra second to potentially to find a wide receiver, you know, yeah. And listen, I like this one because you're, this isn't a draft where you look at it and you say, Hey, they trade it down.

And they got all these picks that everybody's going to love. This draft would excite me in a sense of like, you got a bunch of top 100 picks. I like Chris Bell. I'm not as worried about his injury as maybe you are because you feel like you need a double level receiver.

I respect it, but his, his knee is, I think it's okay. He's going to be fine. Pick another offensive lineman here. That would make, that would make us Saints, thanks Twitter, especially hot.

Maybe our discord a little hot too. But I like it. I mean, you getting a season where we use off my TV. I like it.

And the thing is, we've seen the last two years, like you're not going to get five guys for the same five guys start in 17 weeks. You got to have depth. I like it. So it's, now you go at 73.

Did any of your not fall? Yeah, none. They all listen, Danny Dennis Sutton, it was a long shot. He got picked up at 64 in this mock.

I'm looking at these other guys I was hoping for the corner back out of Ohio State, Davison, Igg Ben, Igg Ben Olsen, he got picked at 71. And then the guy right before me, the Bengals pick Dominique Orange, the interior defensive lineman out of Iowa State, they picked him at 72. Yeah, I would have been happy with any of those guys falling. And instead, I'm looking at, I'm looking at the running back, Mike Washington out of Arkansas, which again, real good player really increased his like nearly doubled his draft stock at the at the combine because of how well he killed it.

But I don't know if I want to grab a running back right now. Elijah Sarat, the wide receiver out of Indiana, who I like, I like him out of the two. I like him more out of the other guy from Indiana, but mainly because he's six foot two. Yeah.

But we took Chris Bell. Yeah. Do I want to take the insurance policy now? Or can you wait for 99?

Can you wait to 130? You know, like, right, then, and this is what's killing me. Kielen Rutledge, I had Georgia Tech, the guard, this guy played right guard for the entire for the last three seasons. So he would have fit in perfectly as a guy who could have potentially taken Caesar, we as a spot.

He he lasted till 73. So potentially I didn't need to take Jennings, don't go. Yeah. So you kind of miss these are the things these are the things that happen when you're when you're, you know, running these scenarios.

How do you feel about because to me, I like, I like this draft so far, I like it. But my question to you is running back. Yeah. Do you feel like if you don't take one here, what's left at 89 and what's left in the form that you won't like?

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, I've taken running backs at the 132 or 136 in other my dress. I know I don't have 136 now, but I've taken running backs at 132 and even what's that next spot? Hang on, 150, you know, I've been okay with that, especially like considering we got a Chan. It's it's we just want a guy that can come in and potentially be somebody to be the spot a spot number two.

Now, if Camara decide if obviously this is all move if between if somehow Camara leaves or gets cut, goes June 1 or retires or whatever, then you know, then we're looking at something different. But I have to assume as of right now when we're recording this that he is going to stay on the team. Yeah, it's that's fair. I mean, because you look at running back and running back, H and Camara, the Evanneal, S.M.A.

Listen, it can be all you need is a little bit of health and you're okay. I think it running back. I don't like there is it is in a must like you don't have to do it. But like, I really feel like at this at this spot, it really kind of depends to me like how much do you like Mike Washington because you're probably not getting him at 89 and you definitely not getting him in around four.

So just to me, I run back at this depends how much do you like him. I like him a lot, but this is your rodeo. Who's your selection at pick 73? Oh, man, 73.

So I'm looking at that. And as you know, I'm looking at some of these guys and it's like there's a corner available, but he's undersized. There's a center available. I think a center is too high at 73.

There's a safety, Camari Ramsey out of USC. I think that's I think 73 is too high for him. Max Claire or Clark, the tight end out of Ohio State, he's available. And you can walk and tight and say we can do that.

Right. But I think having picked up no offense, you can I think tight end is something that we can hold off on now. Yeah. Until a little bit later.

Yeah. And before you make the pick, this is this is this is this is the sort of scenarios that I wanted to force. But this is what's going to happen in the draft for teams. Like you said, I picked this guy at 57.

There's three other players I really like. Pretty good odds. One of them will get there and I'll get to them and you get to 73 and none of them are there. And that's the thing that I think fans don't necessarily because we look at it.

We're like, Oh, just take this player. Just, you know, you need a corner. Just take this one. But teams don't view it that way.

I remember when the Saints, I want to say in 2014 or 2015 when they really needed a guard and they didn't pick a guard in the first round and they were talking to Sean Payton after the first round. They're like, yeah, there's a lot of good players left. And Sean Payton was like the spondent because he's like, man, there's a bunch of guys that we really like that went ahead of us at the end around one. Like the Saints clearly had like three guys they wanted to take a guard in the second round and they all went at the end of the first round and the same thing, draft a guard.

That whole draft and we were like, what the fuck? St. Jimmy, a guard? Why didn't you?

They didn't have anyone they like. So that's these scenarios. Sometimes it just doesn't go like these team ones or players that you look that other people may like, you're just like, I don't want to take them here. So who do you pick at 73?

Yeah, this this this one is this is the big fork in the road here for me. I am not going I am going to pass on the running back. I am going to pass on the wide receiver. Obviously, I'm not going to take the guard.

I don't feel comfortable with Darryl Jackson from Florida State at defensive interior. So I am going to take a position a little earlier than I wanted and go with Max Claire from Ohio State at 73. I like this pick. I like him.

I think he's going to end up being a very workman like tight end and be a guy that's going to carve out a 10 year career. And he's going to be that extra offensive lineman type tight end and fans are going to be like, why are the Saints re signing Max Claire to a three year 27 million dollar deal? It's like, well, he's really important to the offense. He's really important when they want to run two three tight ends when they want to have, you know, the jumbo package and that sort of thing on the field.

I think it's a good I think it could be one of those picks, Kevin Ware, you kind of like not so thrilled about it. And you kind of get forced into it. But in two years, you could really like it. I like I like that pick.

So 89, what are you doing? Is Sarat still there? Are you going wide? No, right?

Sarat is gone. Rutledge somehow dropped all the way down to 89. Jake Slaughter, the center out of Florida is sitting there. Devin Moore, the corner back out of Florida is sitting there.

The edge defender from Auburn and the edge defender from Alabama that's Crawford and Overton respectively, they are there. Here's the one that's intriguing to me at 89. Ted Hearst, Ted Hearst, wide receiver out of Georgia State. He has skyrocketed.

He is skyrocketed from like February. He was somewhat getting drafted somewhere in like the 150s to the 170s. He has shot up to, what is this number now? It's like 91.

He's jumped up like 50 spots in the last month. So I'm going to presume that that means that his combine went very well. Yes. And the same thing.

Like him. Oh, that's nine. That's 9.92. Like there is a lot to love about Ted Hearst.

Like I've mocked Ted Hearst many, many times before. Like that's a guy I love. I love that pick. I would love this pick.

The problem I have right now is we don't have a corner. We don't have an interior defensive lineman and we haven't picked an edge defender yet. Those are still three positions of need. Yeah.

So here's my question to you. You kind of have to make a call here. That's tricky. And this is why I want this exercise because you picked Chris Bell at 25 against your will.

Against your will. Thank you. Thank you. But you're, you know, you're thinking as a team, right?

You have Chris Bell and the say could easily pick another wide receiver here. And then you have a Lave, they lay Chris Bell, Hearst, Jalen Polk, and that's your five. And you're saying bye bye to Bob Memes and the rest of the crew. And that's why that's a that's a good solid group.

What's more important? Rolling the dice at wide receiver with just Chris Bell and filling another need here because I feel like the different in the quality you're going to get an edge and the quality you're going to get a corner and the quality you're going to get into your line. The quality of player, you're going to get an 89. The quality you're going to get at 136 is vastly different in my opinion.

Maybe you disagree because you do a thousand more. But I feel like this is a big moment for you. Like what's more important? I'm not locking down wide receiver or filling.

I've got it. I've got it. I'm not taking Ted Hearst. I like a number of wide receivers that are still on the board that should still be available at 132 and maybe even 150.

Okay. So again, I look at what's what is of need. Edge defensive interior and corner. I don't see an edge that jumps out at me.

I don't see a defensive interior lineman right now that jumps out at me. So I am going to take corner. I am going to go with Devin Moore out of Florida. Okay.

So, you know, that's a top 100. That's a top 100 of Chris Bell, Rodriguez, Dunker, Claire and more. That's a I am hoping that two of these guys can I'm hoping that two of these guys become starters and that one or two of them become can immediately become back tops on the team. I mean, I, I, I kind of love this draft.

Like, like if, if, if you are correct on Dunker and Chris Bell is what the Saints hope he is and they love him. If you hit on those two guys, suddenly you have a rock solid potentially elite offensive line, a la vam, bell at receiver, you got a Janet running back, you got shocked, you got a pretty damn good offense. Like that, that you have, you have locked it in if those two guys hit, you know, if one of those guys hits and you hit a corner or you hit Rodriguez at linebacker, your defense is better. I really like this draft and it's not just the volume.

These picks, these picks interest me. Kevin, I'm fascinated. Moore from Florida. You know, he's got, he's got a balance is, you know, quick PFF take the grades however you want him, but his coverage grade, run grade, almost identical, right?

So that's, that's a positive, right? You know, um, you know, he's, he's got the size 63 198. So, we like that. Um, I like it.

You know, I like these picks. Um, biggest, biggest disappointment besides the fact that I forced your hand and made, made you pick an injured wide receiver at 25 biggest regret besides that as we, one, one 32. I would say potentially, I would say taking Rodriguez at linebacker, because I ended up actually, no, no, no, it wasn't him. It was, it was taking dunker at 57 because I probably should have taken Danny Dennis Sutton and reached a little and taken him at 57 because now I'm still sitting here without an edge defender as we're rolling on.

And I think there's only like a few more guys that are worth, that are worth grabbing. Yeah. And here's, here's the thing at edge. And listen, I, I respect you, I respect all these draft people that watch film, but the data tells us if you do not pick an edge in the first round, the odds of getting a edge that is a double digit, that guy is not quite zero, but almost.

That's why Trey Hendrickson was a goddamn unicorn. You do not pick third and fourth round defensive ends that become all pros, like teams just bet on the traits. And it's just really hard to find them. So that's my fear, Kevin, right now you're, you're at 132.

I just no matter what edge you pick, I'm just, I'm, I'm leery of it. Do you go edge here or do you just go value? Yeah, edge, it would be a significant, it would be a slight reach at 132 to take an edge. I am thinking, let me see if this guy was, if this guy was picked or not.

Yeah, and he was picked. Yep. A lot of my guys that I was hoping, I was hoping for a couple of wide receivers to maybe be available at 150. There might still be one guy, I want to check his, now there's no razz on him.

That's unfortunate. Well, so let me run down a couple of guys that are here at 132. There's Seth McGowan, he's a running back out of Kentucky. There's Amit Johnson, a running back out in Nebraska.

He took a slight dip after the combine because some of his numbers like Warren so good, he was sitting in 74 to the mid 80s and he currently is dropped like 60 spots. So it was basically him and Mike Washington out of Arkansas to switch. Here's my, Eric McAllister, Eric McAllister, the wide receiver out of TCU. He's still sitting there.

I like him. You're also looking at the center, Jagger Burton, who we've talked about before. We've talked about a bunch. I feel like he's my, I feel like he's a second son to me.

We talked about it. So yeah, I'm just, it's, it's tough. It's tough. It's tough.

It's tough. Here's my, here's my question before you make the pick. We've heard people say, listen, this tight end, I mean, this draft is really, they don't have a lot of top end receivers or sort of like top end tight ends, except if it depends on how you like Canyon City, right? But there's a ton of, there's a ton of like great value and it's deep, right?

Yeah. My question to you is, teams, I think either a tight end or wide receiver are going to wait and they're going to wait and they're going to say, oh, we're going to get one now. We can wait. We can wait.

But the run is going to start at a certain point. When do you see the run at tight end and receive like, when do you think it's going to kick off? Because you got to get in or the ground or the ground more towards the beginning of the run. Give me third round.

Okay. I'll say, because look, I'm looking right now, tight and wise, Justin Jolly is still here. Jack Andrews is still here. He's from Texas.

Jolly, I think that's North Carolina State. That's a weird looking look. I think that's North Carolina State. Martin Klein out of Michigan, Dallin Bentley is still here.

I like it hurts my guy that I love. I love the guy from Texas. There he is, Nate Borkerger from A&M. He's still sitting there and then Eli Raridin from Notre Dame and Joe Roy Ross is sitting here.

All these guys are sitting here currently in the fourth round. I think there will start to be a run in the late third round and you'll start seeing a lot of tight ends go then. I want the Saints. I want them to invest in a tight end.

I'm like, get me a guy that's not a six round pick or a priority UDFA that you gave 100 grand to. Like, give me a like invest, invest one of these fourth round picks you got a fifth round, a third round. Like, make an investment where we're like, Hey, this guy needs to turn into something. You spent real draft capital on him, but that aside, who's your pick at 132?

All right. I have to finally take a shot here. This is going to be a reach, but I have to do it because I don't want to take a chance that he's not there at 150, which would be in round five. It's still a position of need.

I'm taking an edge defender. I'm taking the edge defender out of Iowa, Max Llewellyn. He is six foot six foot five, 263 pounds, Razz for with seven point seven three. I want to see where he was deficient.

So let's check that. I know people hate when I look these things up, but you know, it is what it is. I'm seeing a lot of yellows here on the math bomb here. The only thing that they didn't like was the that was the thing they really didn't like was the weight, but his razz here that I'm looking at from math bomb from two weeks ago, had him at an eight point three.

I like that. Listen, though, the PFSN has him at a seven point seven five. So I'm going to assume that he must have done something extra. What is the NFL NFL dot com?

They strike me as somebody that would update their shit far more often. Yeah, they actually know they don't have their missing the three cone drill, the 20 yard shuttle in the bench press room, which is peculiar. But be that as it may. I'm taking the edge defender.

I really we needed an edge defender. I don't feel comfortable waiting any longer. So I'm I'm willing to try and get this guy in here. They're saying that he is an immediate backup caliber guy and has the potential to be a starter in time.

So not only that, but we should have got a graphic. This dude looks like stifflers best friend in a CBS sitcom that they tried to spin off stiffler from American Pie into his own show. This dude looks like his best friend and nobody picked up the pilot. It didn't go.

Right. And listen, Hermione Jones friend of the program always says Iowa, they believe in white people's ability to play defense where the rest of the world says, Oh, I like it. You can't play edge. You can't play corner.

Kurt Farron says like, Come on down, brother. We believe in you. And they get the most out of white guys playing defense. And I like this guy.

But Kevin, my one condition is if the Saints pick him, he's got to keep the set. He's got to keep the mustache. Oh, no, he's no, no, no, the stash. Look, he's got a nice stash and beer.

I don't know about the haircut. But honestly, both here's the funny thing. Both him and James Dunk are both from Iowa, both of them. Both of them, gingers.

Yeah, you know how I feel about gingers. They don't have but sometimes sometimes you need the soulless play. Sometimes you need to play without a soul competitive in the NFL. But that's a long, that's an old saying.

That's right. That's right. Very old thing. All right.

So this draft is four rounds done. Yeah, what did they great? What did they grade? You saved the screenshot.

I want you to get I want you to put it in the description so people can see it. Well, I can't hang on. Let me they're not going to give me a grade yet because I just had this thing running for seven rounds. So let me so let me just run this.

Let me run the rest of this out. Well, you run this draft. I want to tell people that I think this draft for the Saints. I love this exercise we did with Kevin because it gives scenarios.

I think there is a real possibility that when the Saints are picking at eight, two offensive tackles have gone. And that's the thing I'm going to say here and I'm going to repeat it on the shows that we do. That's what you want to be rooting for. If you are a Saints fan, you want a good player that we feel like is a huge need for the Saints.

You want that player, those players to drop. You need to root for the offensive tackles because I don't think Kevin, you can tell me if I'm wrong. I don't think Tyson Simpson's going top seven. I think that's just the last game that the draft, they're just smoking crack and just lies.

But I could see a scenario where offensive tackles goes three, offensive tackles to Cleveland. I could see two offensive tackles goes and you get two offensive tackles in the top seven, suddenly Styles, Delaine, Bailey, the odds are one of them gets down to eight. So that's what we're rooting for. But quickly before we go, what did you finish up the draft?

What did PFF? What grade did they give you? PFF gave me a B minus and said I was in the bottom 26% of Saints drafts. Well, said no, no, no, no.

Oh, I said I forwarded I forwarded this to Tomás. So he at least has the graphic. Chris, they rated the Chris Bell pick a C because it was a reach. It was a reach to take Chris Bell at 25.

Well, let's review. Let's review this. Let's say the Saints did this. What would you feel about it?

What would you feel about it? Um, I think they're giving me the B minus grade based on the back half of the draft here that like the Mac the Bohelen pick on down. I mean, they're mostly okay with everything else I did. Like they liked the Rodriguez pick.

They thought that Devin Moore pick was good. They thought the Dunker pick was okay. They were lukewarm on Max Claire and they seem to be lukewarm on Chris Bell. But I mean, it's just look, the thing about the thing about taking Bella 25 is the thing about taking Bell even at 42.

Oh, there it is. Tomás just put it here in the spring for you. The thing about taking Bella at 25 or even 42 is he has to immediately turn around and show that he has something. Like let's say he shows flashes and he's a little limited this year and let's say in year two, let's say in year two, he just it's just like, ah, he's never gonna amount to anything.

Then it ends up being sort of a wasted pick. But if he's lifting year one and takes a big leap in year two, that's when you'll know that the Chris Bell pick was actually good. I don't think we can we can't fairly judge the Chris Bell pick until year two is is really here's my thing though Kevin when you know me and you have been saying it, we said the Saints need to pick at least 18 guys in 2025 and 2026. They need volume of picks.

Right. And they did it last year. This I love this like I'm more bullish on Chris Bell than you perhaps. But I love this.

I love Claire. I think he's gonna be he's just gonna be one of those guys that's gonna be on a roster for like a decade. And and you need those type guys. I love the well and I know we only did four round in this but you pick I love the center from Indiana.

I think I think in three years. I think they gave me the deep I think I got to cut you off here. I think they gave me the D plus on Coogan because I took him at 172 because I've seen him available at 190 in places. The reason I took him at 172 was because I wanted to see at 190 if a couple of defensive interior guys were there and one of the ones I wanted, Cole Brevard out of Texas was there.

I just feel like this in everybody said, Oh Indiana won and isn't that a heartwarming story? And he took all these players from James Madison and they didn't really have upper elite NFL talent. And it's crazy that they want a national title. And I know I'm in those is gonna go one overall.

But I feel like in three years, the pawns, the coogans, the serrat, like they're all gonna be useful NFL players. And when we look back, we're gonna be like, yeah, in Indiana won the national title because they had like six and they have like six NFL dudes that are good, good or above NFL players. So I love this that pick. I love this draft.

I love the volume of it. And I think I feel better about it than you because I feel better about Chris Bell. And I just feel like I feel like Kevin, this is one of the better scenarios that we could cook up where the Saints get Chris Bell because my fear is that they pick someone at eight and they get too antsy at 42 about Chris Bell and they don't have the patience to just sit and wait and wait for them to fall and they move up. So at least yes, we took them a little bit too high, according to the mocks.

And Kevin, don't forget, we got the 2027 Bears first. And I don't know about you. I know it's 20 years now, but I still kind of hate the fucking Bears over there, Katrina banners and stuff in 2000. Right, I do.

I still like in this scenario, getting all these picks and being able to hate watch the Bears and hoping that that 2027 pick goes up, up, up in what people say is a generational draft. Like that is an added benefit to me. I just I love this all around. I give this graph a minus.

But what would you give it? Um, yeah. A minus. Okay.

I think Chris Bell is going to be fine. And I love the other players you got. And I love the 2027 first one. I am looking I'm I'm most I'm pretty much in agreement with PFF here like B minus this feels like a B minus maybe even a borderline C plus.

Um, you know, maybe the teacher likes my penmanship. So so we end up getting the B minus instead of the C plus, you know, one of those kind of deals. Yeah. Well, I hope everybody enjoyed this as much as I did.

I mean, I put him in a box. It was great. Thanks guys for listening. Thanks for supporting the show.
