Should Substack Die?? - Michael Ginsburg discussion (2h 5m)

from Not Done Yet Hosted by Terry Wolfe

It’s hard for me to accept, but Substack really does have troubling red flags that need to be discussed. In many ways it’s an ideal platform: powerful authors, supportive readers, and only a small cut taken by Substack itself. But that’s exactly we need to make sure it cannot grow into the same monstrosity that Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and other “too good to be true” platforms have in the past. In this discussion, Australian tech journalist Michael Ginsburg and I discuss whether Substack is even able to be “saved” by complaints. To my surprise, Michael won me over to his side, and I will now have to start looking at alternatives! You don’t want to miss this one. This is a public episode.
