Should We Read Genesis Literally?

Is the story of creation literal? The idea of Adam and Eve as literal people, the earth being created the exact way that it's described in Genesis - are these all literal stories of exactly how things happened? Or is Genesis a fictional story used to describe in ways people can understand, that which they would not otherwise be able to conceive? Does the literal or fictional nature of genesis change doctrine? Does it challenge the Christian faith? All discussed tonight on the Theist Thesis Podcast.
