Upon graduating from Grand Junction High School in 2011, in Winder’s hometown of Grand Junction, Colorado, Winder received an academic and athletic scholarship to play football for Colorado Mesa University. In 2015, Winder received his BA, with a major in Sport Management and a minor in Business Management. In the summer of 2015, Winder accepted an Account Management position for Life Time Athletic in Las Vegas, Nevada. On his off days, Winder was a ForeCaddie for MGM Grand’s Shadow Creek Country Club.
