Should You Tri It: 13th

from The Tri Hard Girls Hosted by The Tri Hard Girls

Hey Fellow Tri Hards – We would like to dedicate this episode to those who have been affected by police brutality. This is a movement, not a moment. #BlackLivesMatter This week we are reviewing and discuss the documentary “13th” on #Netflix by Filmmaker #AvaDuVernay. This powerful film documents the history and current state of the United States prison system and how certain laws and historical movements have contributed to mass incarceration and targeted the black community. We HIGHLY recommend watching this documentary. We learned A LOT that we weren’t aware of before, and it really opened our eyes to dive deeper into our country’s history and how it has impacted our communities today. Leave us a comment down below and tell us something you learned from the documentary or your thoughts on this film.
