Hello again fight friends!This podcast I got to sit and chat with friend of the show, Road to One winner and now, One Championship fighter CODY JEROME!on Podcast 119 - I gave my thoughts on what I saw in Cody's debut to the promotion, from the walk to getting knocked down to the unfortunate finish. Well - Cody listened and contacted me saying he was happy to come on and share exactly how it wentI said "it looks like it couldn't have gone worse for him" - well, after hearing Cody break down the weight cut situation - IT GOT A HELLUVA LOT WORSE! Cody talks about his weight cut/hydration issue that almost had him pull out of the fight and how serious it became for him, why it took a situation like this to finally move up in weight, the difficulty of training without a fight and of course - the fight itself.I would imagine this is still very raw for Cody - so MAD RESPECT for coming on the show and addressing this publicly! I did ask Cody "so what went right for this camp and leading into the fight?" Cody couldn't think of anything, and sometimes that's how it goes in the combat sport world...I truly thank Cody for his time on the podcast and talking about his debut to One Championship and the things that went wrong and how he's going to make right!
