from Soul Break with Pastor Jim Hosted by Pastor Jim Johnson
Finding Hope in the Cry for Help: The Story of Bartimaeus In the Gospel of Mark, Jesus walks with His disciples. Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, hears Jesus is near. He cries out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” The crowd tries to silence him, but he shouts louder. This scene resonates today. Bartimaeus shows us steps to take in need: - Meet Your Maker: Bartimaeus seeks Jesus, the one who can change his life. We must also seek our Creator in struggle. - Persist in Faith: Bartimaeus does not give up despite opposition. We must remain steadfast in our requests. - Receive Healing: Bartimaeus receives sight. We must be open to transformation.
