Have you ever tried boarding a plane without your boarding pass. Good luck with that if you ever try. Or have you ever tried to get into an exclusive event without your ticket? You could be the biggest fan of the sports team or musician playing, but without that proof in hand, you’re stuck on the outside. Whether it’s membership cards, tickets, or IDs, proof of belonging is essential everywhere. That same concept applies in our spiritual lives as well. And our passage in this sermon is Acts 10:34-48. In this passage we find an incredible story where we see the proof of what belonging to Christ is. It’s not about what we carry in our wallets or how much we know—it’s the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Peter witnessed something extraordinary as he realized that this proof wasn’t reserved for just one group of people but for all who believe in Jesus. So, in this sermon, we see how the Holy Spirit is God’s way of saying, "You belong to Me," and what that means for us.
