The beginning of 2025 is giving us an indication of what many people see as a harsh year of bad surprises and ugly news, from terrorist attacks to earthquakes, wildfires, and pandemics, it appears the powers that be are designing an apocalyptic scenario to normalize pain and suffering. The more you suffer, the more you need them, and the more you need to be cared for by government mandate. They remind you of how vulnerable you are and so it is a constant barrage of victimization and trauma. They need shock and awe, unprecedented “catalyzing events”, and above all, to convince you that the old power base is collapsing and the New Normal will make you happy so don’t even think about resisting.
