Showing Up, Fully, as We Are in a World of Highlights is Not Easy (Ep 6)

The concept I am referring to here, is how I started my podcast, Sabbatical or Suicide, which by the way is available here on my Coffee unfiltered Patreon page. Your opinion of me may shift after listening to it.At any rate, even though I believe this, it is sometimes hard to live it. That is, only showing others, the highlight reels of our lives does not add the kind of value I want to be adding to the world or two other women’s experiences of, of one another, or of yourselves. I want to always represent, the complete picture of this life experience… which ain’t all roses! So, yes, I wanted to delete the video. I posted yesterday and I was almost about to do that. And, the whole point of what we are doing here is Walk in the walk. It’s one thing to talk to talk. It’s another thing to walk the walk… all parts of our ourselves, even the ones that we aren’t quite so proud of are still parts of ourselves and we don’t need to apologize for those parts. Noticing, growing, and reframing is all part of the ride. It’s a weird thing to expose my personal experience to, strangers in essence. And, so many times in my life I would’ve given anything to find a woman like me who I could relate to so that I didn’t feel so alone with all the sides of myself so here I am y’all.I do look forward to the comments where you begin sharing your own experiences with this stuff and with yourselves, if and when you care to reveal… I will do everything in my power to continue to allow this to be the safe space to do so. Intern, you just might find the least likely friendships will blossom from your sharing.
