Depending on who you listen to, it's either a disaster or… well, that's what we're here to unpack today.Headlines have been screaming about Shell leaving; more often than not, this conversation is framed as a blow to our economy due to company equity rules in SA like BEE. This narrative has gained prominence, especially with the current white right-wing propaganda going around. This narrative is false. But it's important to look at what the actual full story is. I think for all intents and purposes we need to look at this current chatter for what it is and what it is not, fairly so, beyond the political noise.
