Vilma recordó los primeros años de militancia con la creación del centro de estudiantes de la facultad de medicina en Rosario al finalizar la dictadura de Onganía, contó acerca de la persecución y el exilio en 1977 como consecuencia de su actividad política y se refirió a lo vivido en la vuelta a la democracia durante el gobierno de Alfonsín. Además, dejó su visión respecto a la función pública, la relación con las organizaciones sociales y su opinión acerca de los distintos gobiernos sucedidos en los últimos 40 años de democracia.
