Jess recaps her cooking adventures on Valentine’s Day - were the tacos she promised last episode successful? Gavin talks about finally being able to track down a second Blue Yeti microphone for under $100 as he updates the listeners with his most recent notable purchase. Jess tells us how “you know you’re an adult when” birthday parties require less planning (PS. let’s all wish Jess a happy birthday on Feb 19!). Gavin rants about how being an adult means the joy of challenging video games gets sucked away. Jess contemplates what sort of date she should have with Gavin for her birthday. The couple discuss possible suggestions which involve staying in Toronto or driving further out of town. Gavin then laments about his newest purchase as he talks about the life-changing (for the podcast) experience he had at the music store. Finally, in the “quick buys” segment, Jess and Gavin talk about possible birthday gift ideas for people in their late 20s. And no, this isn’t a way for me to figure out a last-minute present for Jess’ birthday.
