Side Dish: Is Past Lives the Best Movie of 2023?

from Infatu Asian Podcast · host InfatuAsian Podcast

This movie!  It's such a beautiful take on a "what if?" love story.  It's a love story that spans over 24 years.  It deals with culture, immigration, unspoken connections, and missed opportunities.   Talking with me about this film is author Gina Chung (Sea Change).  We loved this film and had a great time chatting about it! Go see it in theaters this summer (2023)!  Learn more over @pastlivesmovie on Instagram.  It's written and directed by Celine Song @helloellephanta and stars Greta Lee and Yoo Teo @teoyoo You can follow Gina @ginathechung on Instagram.  At the end of the episode, Gina shouts out AAPI-owned Yu and Me Bookstore in NYC Chinatown which highlights AAPI authors and books. Tragically there was a fire in their building on 07/04/2023, and they have to close for what might be over a year.  There is a GoFundMe page set up to help them and their staff get through this tough time, please consider donating:  https://gofund.me/69fde015 or visit their IG page @youandmebooks #pastlives #A24 #celinesong #gretalee #yooteo #asianmovie #asianpodcast #asianamerican #infatuasian #infatuasianpodcast
