'Sidelined 2: Intercepted' extends rom-com into franchise territory

Tubi is the latest streaming service to find its niche in original programming. After the success of "Sidelined: The QB and Me" in 2024, director Justin Wu was back at it with "Sidelined 2: Intercepted." Is a "Sidelined 3" in the works? Could there be an extended universe for this romantic comedy series aimed at older teens and young adults that stars TikTok influencer Noah Beck?
