Signing Day: A New Era for America Begins

from The Daily Note with James A. Brown

We're diving into how the United States got its groove back in 1787. The Articles of Confederation just weren't cutting it, leaving Congress all weak and states bickering like kids in a playground. So, a bunch of delegates gathered in Philadelphia to hash things out. They tackled everything from big state versus small state drama to issues like slavery and taxes. After some serious debate and a lot of back-and-forth, they came up with a brand-new plan that split power into three branches and balanced the states with the national government. By September 17, 1787, they signed the Constitution, setting the stage for a stronger nation. This podcast uses the following third-party services for analysis: Podcorn - https://podcorn.com/privacy
